The big set of buildings that Hank sees on google maps (the same building where Gaff has a sniper rifle and shoots one of the henchmen) is a *seperate* building from Walt's lab. Walt's lab is under the laundromat. The building where the shootout happens is where the blue meth gets processed (hidden in buckets of chicken batter to be distributed.)

Gus' Family[]

I'm curious, does Gus have a family? I do not remember his family being mentioned or even Gus being portrayed as a family man for public purposes. In fact, I've seen people speculate that his former business partner was actually his companion as well. Either way, Gus seems to be celibate or possibly gay. Plus, I don't think it is unusual for people in his business to not have room for love. Mike is divorced, and who knows what Tyrus does with his spare time.

It seems he might have been a dictator. Augusto Pinochet.

No, he wasn't Pinochet (a historically famous dictator mentioned on the show). But he may have taken the name "Gus" due to ties with the Pinochet government.

  • In Abiquiú, Gus mentions that he rarely gets to cook a certain meal because "kids won't eat it".--HED - HalfElfDragon 07:48, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Google Spoiler[]

This page about Gustavo Fring is the first hit when googling "Gus Fring". The problem is that the extract mentions "Gustavo "Gus" Fring was a Chilean national". The past tense implies that Gus dies during the show. Even though it kinda seems probable that Walt kills Gus at some point in the show, it still is a big spoiler and I was pretty pissed to read it.

The worst part is that you don't even have to click on it. It pretty much is the first sentence you see after googling.

Would you consider changing the description from past to present, or a least not mention Gus death in the first line of the first paragraph of the first Google hit? Thanks.

Where does it say he was 46?

This page has been locked to prevent editing, but I was going to add to his background that Gus grew up poor in a shack in the hills, often hungry, with brothers.  This comes up in BCS 4.06 Pinata, when Gus is talking to the comatose Hector.

Am I the only one who thinks that this quote is a little... too much? My computer has high resolution and it still covers over half of the screen. The Grim Botches Edits (talk) 20:10, June 12, 2020 (UTC)

I agree. I'll trim the quote down.

Also, I still think that Gus' threat to Walter is much more fitting to the character rather than his pep talk to Hector, but that's just my personal opinion. The Grim Botches Edits (talk) 20:17, June 12, 2020 (UTC)

Gus speaking german[]

I don't think Gus is fluent in German, the only time we hear him speak it is when meeting Werner (I think), where it sounds more like he learned a standard introductory phrase in German as a gesture of good will.

main quote[]

personally i think gus' main quote should be his cartel rant in bcs 6x13, represents his character more then the manipulation speech imo
