RJ Mitte is the American actor who plays Walter White Jr. on Breaking Bad. Mitte auditioned for the role when he was 13 years old and spent the entirety of his teenage years on the show. He was already 21 years old by the time the final eight episodes of the series aired in late summer 2013.
RJ moved to Hollywood from Louisiana with his family in 2006 to support his sister's acting career and took to acting classes as a way to meet people. At the insistence of his teachers he applied for commericals and TV series and he quickly snagged the role of Walter White Jr. on Breaking Bad.
He's starred as a recurring character on the TV series Switched at Birth, and was a main character in the movie House of Last Things.
In real life, RJ has a mild case of Cerebral Palsy but took to studying the disease more in depth to portray Walt Jr, who has a more severe case than RJ himself.
