Yes, they have become a lot darker over the series. The most basic overview of the show is Walter White's transformation from an everday man to an evil person.
I don't find Jesse to be dumb at all. He actually has the worst luck of all the characters. Walt transforms into a bad guy by his own choices. Jesse, for the most part, transforms into a bad guy as a last resort. Granted, he never had to start cooking meth or doing drugs but once he partnered with Walt he lost all control of his fate.
I agree with that first part. But I mean we did see Jesse make pretty dumb choices like when he poured water on that battery in the desert when Walt had a fire exstiquser or what about that time when he failed School but then pursued drugs and dealing instead. Just my opinion though. I do agree too though that his fate was sealed when he partnered with Walt. I'm just wondering now who will be their next Main Enemy? They had Krazy 8 and his Cousin, them small time Dealers, Tuco, Walt's Stepbrother at some points and then Gus. So who will be their enemy now that their on top?! I hope this show doesn't end badly, but I fear it will. D:
Jesse's not as smart as Walt -- true, but he's not a bumbling idiot. Getting messed up with drugs is dumb, yeah, but when he's sober he's pretty sharp.
I'm fairly certain the "big bad" of this final season will be Walt himself. He's reached critical mass -- there's no one larger for him to be afraid of. Both he and Jesse will have to deal with this and I'm not certain both of them will make it out of the series alive. The show started with Walt coming to terms with his death, and I'm assuming he'll meet his end by the time the series wraps.
True. If that's the case then I just hope that they don't try to kill each other. Only because I remember where they fought a couple times with Jesse winning the last one. And I think Walt's cancer is clearing up alot, so I feel that probably won't be his downfall. I really would want them both to get out of this alive, but I fear that because of the business their in that it'll be the death of them. Cause I think that the Cartel might want them, also the DEA badly. Just my guesses of course, you never know. Ain't that one blad Assassin working for them now by the way? The one that kicked Walt's a** in the Bar and got shot over the Border. Also, I'm glad I finally have someone to talk to about the show because I'm the only one in my family that watches it. The rest of them watch Walking Dead. :/
Where exactly is it implied that Gus had Tyrus warn Hank about the twins, or that Gus was involved with the warning at all? Google has failed me and I don't have time to sift through all the episodes right now..
I am new to THIS wiki (and am an admin on another one), and was just wondering if I could ask if you could use your administrative powers for one particular endeavour. Namely, activating the "badges" track. If you don't know what I'm referring to, it is a system of badges that editors of a particular wiki community can earn by accumulating amount of edits, photo adds, ect. If you DO know what I'm talking about, sorry for the long and unneccesary explanation. But essentially, I was wondering if you could activate it, and I'm sure the community of admins could customize these badges to be Breaking Bad-themed. This would add more vividness and togetherness within the community, and a show such as this deserves the biggest community of fans to back it up to the fullest of its potential.
Yes, I've seen that before but didn't know that the guys in custody had names! Looks like we'll be seeing more of them in the next episode, so I'll wait until it's over before updating any information.
You mention in Hanks bio that he misses his brainless job VS hunting monsters. The job Hank was describing is known currently as Timber Cruising. In Hanks time, he would have had to do all the math(trigonomerty) for the basal area factors, heights, widths, board feet, etc without use of the electronic devices we have nowadays. Most Cruisers have a college degree in Forestry. Timber logging is not as hap hazzard as environmentalist would like to believe. It takes many surveys by cruisers regarding the health, age, size and potential board feet (which requires a lot of math), species, environmen/subspecies, plot locations, etc. When Hank was doing this, there would not have been GPS assistance or laser rangefinders or clinometers. I believe Hank was referring more about the serenity of being out in the woods than the brainlessness of the job in general.
If you go to 4:00 ish, this college tutorial vid gives you n idea how it was done back in 1978, about the time Hank might have been getting in to it.

Yeah, I read on Screenrant that Dean Norris wanted to be killed off once he found out there was two parts of Season 5, he wanted to do a pilot for another show if I am correct, and asked Gilligan, glad Gilligan said no! I wanna see Hank and Walt fight big time! Like Walt and Jesse did in Bug
