Louis is Walt Jr.'s best friend. They both attend JP Wynne High School. He frequently gives Walt Jr. rides to school and helped him set up a PayPal account for donations to Walt Jr.'s website.

Walt first learns that his son prefers the name "Flynn" from Louis ("Down"). Walt later invites Louis to their house for a pot roast supper as a way of saying "thank you" for driving his son to school. That meal was undoubtedly awkward as moments before they sit down to begin eating, Skyler tells Walt that she fucked Ted ("I.F.T.")

Louis can be seen at Los Pollos Hermanos in the background of episodes "Hermanos" and "Bug" sparking speculation that he may have a job at the restaurant.
