I admit that I've probably watched almost every episode at least three times: twice just watching the episode and once listening to the commentary, with the dialog showing as subtitles. I finished the final season back in May and then re-watched the whole thing from Season 1 on over the course of several weeks. And then I got over it. The urge just disappeared. Maybe it took me all that time to accept the finality of the last episode. I don't think I could watch it again, because it just seems like I've experienced everything I need from it.
I recently watched all the episodes of Sherlock and can't wait for the season they'll start filming next year. In terms of cinematography, it's as close to BB quality as any series I've seen. I do wish there were more episodes, though. I've also watched Boardwalk Empire through Season 4. Those three series are the only three I've watched and really enjoyed the past five or so years. I forced myself to watch Dexter, but all I could think was how badly written it was compared to those other three.
You'll get over BB, especially when you've watched another quality series. But I know what you're talking about. Everything else is playing for second place. Even though I'm looking forward to checking out Better Call Saul I'm also sort of dreading it, because I'm afraid it's going to make me realize how much I still miss Breaking Bad.
